The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow

IN POLITICAL NEWS

1) While it's early, it appears that the artificial "outrage" over the shooting of the MN would-be car murderer failed to achieve liftoff. Not that they ain't trying. There is a big protest organized by the Socialists in NYC here; and as Roger Kimball argues here, the cold in part tamped down protests in many blue cities. Let them eat icicles. There were "tens of thousands" of marchers in MN, demanding "We won't stop til it's 1793." Apparently devoid of any historical understanding, 1793 was the year the "Reign of Terror" began in France, where, after a few nobles were separated from their cranial cavities, guess who the Committee on Public Safety came for? Yep. The very "revolutionaries" like Robespierre who started the bloodshed. Oh, and who was left standing? This guy:

3) Remember the 2024 campaign and I said the DemoKKKrats had five civil wars, and couldn't win any of them? Yeah, still happening. They have a civil war going on over ICE funding. PA continues to trend Republican with another big jump of R+7200. Now Rs are down only 49,000 in active voters. PA will be red before 2028. And after a court fight, OR will clean 800,000 names from the rolls. Wanna bet how many of those are DemoKKKrats? And here is Clinton pollster Mark Penn warning that the DemoKKKrat spoogemuffins are going to dominate the party until it disappears. Wait, who else has been saying the DemoKKKrats would disappear? Meanwhile, a DemoKKKrat strategist warns that Kollyfornia will see a mass exodus in the next few months due to ridiculously high prices and high taxes. It is true that independents have hit a record high, but that's not good news for DemoKKKrats, as a) a much higher percentage of indies come from Ds, and b) the GOP nevertheless has gained relative to DemoKKKrats in every state. I look at this as a two-step process: first, leave the DemoKKKrats, second, join the GOP later.

4) Kollyfornia wealthy people prepare to leave if wealth tax is implemented. This includes the two Google founders, Sergey Brin and Larry Page. Gruesome is scrambling to try to undo this. He can't.

5) No one has mentioned this, but there is a "massive" $32 billion plan by Trump to overhaul the nation's air traffic control system, long overdue.

6) The once-decent state of CO is now appearing ready to grant Tina Peters clemency. I think Trump withholding water funds has something to do with that.

8) The Washington Compost wrote a piece saying Count Dooku (Jack Smith) was a threat to the first amendment. Jeff Childers, in his "Coffee & Covid," says this is a preemptory move to get ahead of prosecutions that are coming. Hope so.

9) I know every state says this about their GOP but it appears the toadsuckers in AK are just crazy. Now they are trying to protect a DEI program. MurCowSki must go, and go now.

10) And just like that, we will be going back to the moon, with a Feb. launch mission. All it takes is leadership.

11) A bank has sued former mayor of Benghazi-by-the-Lake, Lori Lightfoot, for not paying her bills for 17 months.

12) Left wing rag & DemoKKKrat mouthpiece Politico is laying off staff.

13) This author thinks that the defunding of state illegal alien operations by Trump is causing the Deep State to panic. I agree. It appears they shifted some of their USAID money over to Somali fraud, but now that's gone too.

IN CULTURAL NEWS

21) Several states are changing their time-in-service salary structure for teachers to merit pay. Good intent, but usually merit pay, which must be measured by tangible test results, adds more paperwork and, like anything, can be jimmied. We'll see. Merit for what? teaching Marxist garbage?

IN TRANSOID NEWS

22) When you'e lost the Washington Compost, well, the Compost urgest the Supes to save women's sports.

IN ECONOMIC NEWS

23) Just the latest big newspaper to close up shop. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is finis.

24) Trump urged the big credit card companies to slash interest rates to 10% for just one year. Most states have usury laws that cap credit card rates, which is why all the big banks have incorporated in Delaware, the only state that does not.

26) Mortgage rates fell below 6%.

27) Nearly 16,000 New Kabul (NYC) nurses are going to strike. And nothing the Amazing Zohran can do about it.

28) UPS is cutting its workforce by 48,000, citing too many low-profit Amazon packages.

IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS

32) This is a twist: the United Arab Emirates is restricting funds for students studying in Mediocre Britain, not because they are afraid they'll be exposed to Christianity or western ideas, but because the Brit colleges are teeming with Islamic radicals.

33) As I said at the time, Maduro's arrest was a big blow to Chy-na. Now, somehow, Greenland is part of the anti-China, not anti-Russian defense, and Trump has hinted that this relates to the Golden Dome defense network.. But here's an interesting tidbit: a new study shows Greenland was warmer 6,000 years ago. You know, before "global warming?"

34) Speaking of "global warming," lookeee who is drilling for oil again. Norway. Oops. So much for that "climate change green transition."

35) The mullahs in Iran have contacted Trump saying "no mas, no mas" trying to get a deal of some sort that prevents an internal revolution. However, there is a CBS report that over 12,000 were killed by the regime in the dark. I need more confirmation than the Communist Broadcast System. For ex., Reuters put the number at 2,000.

36) Trump set a 25% tariff on any nation dealing with Iran. They will be the next to go. Yeah, and the ChiComs are "rethinking" Taiwan after the skill shown in that raid.

37) This de-brief of a Venezuelan soldier is astonishing. He said that it was as if the "hundreds" of bodyguards were fighting super soldiers; that they "fell to the ground, unable to move," were bleeding from the nose. He warned Chy-na not to mess with us. He said 20 US troops took out "hundreds," and it was like they were firing 300 rounds per minute.

38) The Manure-O Maduro raid was popular. A majority of Americans support, including 66% of Hispanics.

40) Trump is again refashioning the entire world at light speed. Now he tells the Cubans, sans Ricky Ricardo, that they should make a deal while they can.

IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

41) Bob Weir, guitarist for the Grateful Dead, dead at 78. Gotta admit, was never ever a "deadhead." Never got them or their appeal, nor did any of the musicians I hung with.

42) Scott Adams, creator of "Dilbert" and early adopter of Trump in 2016, where he explained how Trump won all the "persuasion" battles, has died at 68. He made a profession of faith in Jesus before his death, but it sounded to me entirely like a last attempt at fire insurance. I hope not. My Dad was the same way. Deathbed confession.

43) Not kidding. Mattel has released an "autistic" Barbie Doll. What's next, "Suicide Bomber Barbie," which comes with a bomb vest?

44) Timothy Busfeld, star of "Thirtysomething" turned director, turned himself in after a warrant for sex abuse charges.

IN MEDICAL NEWS

45) A new study linking the China Virus vaxxes to cancer was mysteriously censored by a hack, a cyberattack.

AND FINALLY . . .

47) The world's tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster opened at the $1 billion theme park in Saudi Arabia. Tickets to the park are only $87, or about one third of a day at DisneyLand.
