IN POLITICAL NEWS
1) This is my first "Today's News" since the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump on July 13, when a would-be killer narrowly missed Trump's head and only zinged him on the ear. Here is a minute-by-minute account of the shooting from Epoch Times. Trump was rushed to a hospital, cleared then left for Milwaukee to attend the Republican National Convention. 2) Meanwhile, the Secret Service has been exposed as monumentally incompetent, corrupt, or part of the attempt itself---take your pick. A roof with a direct line of sight to the stage was not secured. Not only did onlookers, but also the SS actually see the would be killer for minutes. The SS snipers did nothing and did not shoot to take out the would-be killer even though they had the shooter in their sights for three minutes. One cop confronted the assassin and ran when the rifle was pointed at him instead of shooting his ass. Now the head of the SS made a silly, "we're increasing our efforts" statement without ever once acknowledging the agency failed massively; that it's DEI-hire females were useless (one ducked, another couldn't even holster her weapon and was a foot shorter than Trump so was utterly incapable of blocking a shot. This is unacceptable. Oh, and did you know the SS was already being investigated by the House for an incident back in May with a female agent who went PMS at Kampuchea Harris's detail?
2) President Trump came out stronger than ever, standing up at the rally with blood on his face. (For those of you who don't know, Napoleon, upon returning to a chaotic France in the late 1790s, arrived at a mob scene outside the National Assembly, where the people were about to tear the delegates to pieces. He brought up two cannons, dispersed the mob with a "whiff of grapeshot," then entered the Assembly through a rose hedge where he scratched his face and, as he entered the Assembly hall to cheers, said, "I have shed my blood for you." They elevated him to Director.) Pumping his fist in the air and shouting "Fight! Fight," Trump emerged as a cultural icon way beyond MAGA. Rapper Fitty Cent did a concert with Trump's image behind bulletproof glass, stopping the shots.. It appears President Trump turned his head at the very last second or the bullet would have crashed through his skull.
3) President Trump made a great selection for veep in Ohio Senator J. D. Vance, who, along with Vivek Ramaswamy, was the only person who could provide "Fire Insurance" against the Deep State. Well done, Mr. President.
4) The hits keep coming for the DemoKKKrat Party. You'd almost think it was the DemoKKKrats that were the ones assassinated. Judge Cannon dismissed the stupid and illegitimate docs case against President Trump, saying “In the end, it seems the Executive’s growing comfort in appointing ‘regulatory’ special counsels in the more recent era has followed an ad hoc pattern with little judicial scrutiny,' Indeed, Judge, indeed. I sense a changing in the legal climate ("Did you say 'youts?")
5) A largely unexpected development of the shooting meant that Rutabaga was saved, his nomnination now ensured, and his election chances killed. As the DemoKKKrat mouthpiece Axios reported, one House DemoKKKrat admitted they were "resigned to another Trump presidency." Another DemoKKKrat outlet, Politico, sadly announces that "Trump once unified DemoKKKrats and divided Republicans: Now the tables are turned with Trump the uniter and Rutabaga the divider. Rutabaga's own campaign's nasty, divisive ads had to be taken down. As part of the Rutabaga collapse, various Hoax Media outlets, even including the Wall Street Journal, have now claimed they were "gaslit" and lied to for years about Rutbaga's lack of mental health. And what? You're all blind too? But this White House press briefing descended into chaos about Rutabaga's mental health just prior to the shooting, while this column says it is Rutabaga's policies not his dementia that are costing him the election.
6) In the wake of the assassination attempt, President Trump has changed the entire tone of the GOP convention to that of national unity, not energizing GOP voters. First, this is partially the result of the Sally Miles influence, which has been fantastic so far. Second, President Trump himself said he viewed this as a second chance to bring the country together. "It was God alone" who saved him, he said. The Washington Compost said for the President it was "almost" a "spiritual experience.' Toadhockey. It was a spiritual experience just as Ronald Reagan's assassination attempt changed his level of commitment to the Lord. No, Eric Prince, it is not because the shooter "misjudged the wind" that the shooter missed.Â
7) Now, I agree with this article---there can be no unity withy these terrorist analdusters who fill the left---but President Trump must speak like Lincoln until the election then he can govern like Napoleon when it comes to these traitors.
8) It is now the DemoKKKrats who are 100% on the defensive. Even Star Wars' Luke Spoogewalker" (Mark Hammill) had to tweet that he as glad President Trump was ok. They also pulled PsychoJoe and Yoko from the "Morning Show," concerned about what stupid and inflammatory things they might say.
9) But as this piece points out, DemoKKKrats have been encouraging an assassination attempt all along. No, these rectalraccoons cannot hide from their evil rhetoric. Cong. Bennie Johnson had to fire his field director who cheered the assassination attempt. and Bill Maher says the shooter has done "so much damage" to the Left. No, Bill, the Left did the damage before the freakin shooter.
10) Oh yeah, Trump remains ahead in national polls and in the latest youguv battleground poll in every single state. In the latest 3W Insights poll, Trump's favorability rose by two while his unfavorability fell by two.
11) And this amazing video shows a Christian pastor prophesying with uncanny accuracy the assassination attempt, predicting even that a bullet would graze his "ear" and that he would move closer to God. Not doing a class on religion hers but Exodus 21:6 says: "His master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door or doorpost and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will serve his master for life."
12) The city of Milwaukee approved every anti-GOP convention protest. I wonder if they will revise this in wake of Saturday's assassination attempt.
13) "Squad" member Cori Bush now is trailing her opponent by 23.
14) So much winning! Now the DEI hire of a FDNY female fire chief has backfired (no pun intended), as she had to resign following reports she was going to "hunt down" firefighters who booed AG Le Tick Strap James. At least some law enforcement agency is doing something right.
15) The U.S. Marshal Service arrested 200 violent criminals in a sting in the Cheese State. (Preparing the battlefield for President Trump's Milwaukee arrival?)
IN CULTURAL NEWS
16) Ryan Burge's deep dive into "who are the 'Nones'"? (No religious affiliation) suggests if one sibling is a none, it's much more likely another will be, but if the MOTHER is a none, it makes the kid much more likely to be a none than if the father is non-religious. Finally, he shows the critical age for becoming a none (shocking) is 15-25, or basically college-aged. The transition he notes is "very quick" and "religious hypocrisy" is the main reason given for leaving the faith.
17) How about this: modern youts are not using drugs or alcohol: "Kids these days are likely living a life that is more devoid of illicit substances than any generation of people who are alive today."
IN ECONOMIC NEWS
18) Good news for all private hootch makers as a Texas judge ruled it is a legal enterprise.
19) US producer prices rose at the fastest level in months.
20) A Rutgers prof says that without doubt wind farms kill whales. Where is John D. Rockefeller to save the whales a second time?
21) Noah Smith, my favorite liberal, correctly argues that there isn't that much wealth in the world.
IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS
22) Rutabaga is increasingly restoring a number of Trump-era policies in order to get back some momentum. Won't help. This is President Trump's order that ended preferential trade with Hong Kong.
23) Indeed, who cares about the Olympics in a world without nationalism? That's what it's all about. I keep saying, these people are dunces.
24) In Germany the "Just Stop Oil" cartilage-lickers opposing oil just poured paint on a . . . Tesla., while automaker Mercedes is doing a U-turn and is investing more in combustion engine research.
25) Some 40 ChiCom banks vanished in a week as the real estate crisis there intensifies.
26) The Israeli Defense Force has eliminated the October 7 mastermind.
IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
27) Shannon Doherty, star of "Beverly Hills 90210," died at age 53 after a long battle with cancer.
28) James B. Sikking, who played the SWAT team leader on the breakthrough series "Hill Street Blues," dead at age 90.
29) Fitness guru Richard Simmons dead at age 76. Given his, er, "lifestyle," I'm surprised he made it that long. However, we must give it up for what he accomplished, moving millions of out-of-shape women into exercise. Let's hear it for the boy.
30) Release of Kevin Costner's "Horizon" episode 2 has been delayed, perhaps because the first one is not performing well.
31) How bad are "Clay and Buck," the two toadstools who tried to replace the Great Rush Limbaugh? 20 minutes after it was publicly known that Trump had announced J.D. Vance was his veep, they were still speculating on who the pick would be.
IN CHINA VIRUS NEWS
32) The former CDC director admitted that the vaxxes never should have been mandated., while the House found that the Rutabaga administration pressured the FDA and ignored vax risks.
33) I think this is pretty big. The New England Journal of Medicine, which slavishly went along with the vax propaganda, now calls for vax safety research.
34) This leaked audio from Australian medical authorities shows they admit to never having seen "this many" young people with vax -related injuries.
AND FINALLY . . .
35) Going back to Rapper Fitty Cent and his endorsement of President Trump, it's time for the irrelevant white rapper to weigh in. And no, I don't mean Vanilla Ice. Or Slim Whitman. Or Zamphir.
