HEADLINES: Trump raises tariffs on 60 nations for "forced labor" violations; Indicators show GOP strong for midterms; "Odyssey" found its pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow

Sorry for the late nature of "Today's News." My Wix account downloaded an "update" that took my team a whole day to fix. Anyway, my final book is now out. If you want an autographed bookplate, email me at Larry@wildworldofhistory.com

IN POLITICAL NEWS

1) Michigan's Jewish donors plan to raise money for the GOP if the MI DemoKKKrat Terror Party nominates Abdul El-Sayed. Well, get out your checkbooks, boys. He gwine get the nomination.

2) Several critical House races have GOP candidates leading or tied when they should be way behind. For example, VA-2 Meanwhile, just a small confirmation here that indeed one of the reasons some squidpickle senators won't back SAVE is that they are benefitting from the cheating. Here is AK purging thousands of non-citizens who helped put the haglet MurCowSki in office. And you know me, I don't do polls, but this one should send chills down DemoKKKrat backs as they need a +5 generic nationally, I think, to take the House.

3) DemoKKKrats just selected South Carolina for the first southern primary, meaning that James "Van" Clyburn (who named his daughter after a steak) will steal it for Cackles. Barring a push for the Amazing Moron Zohran---which will come---Cackles will again be the nominee. BTW, "Kamala" means "goddess," named after the Hindu "laughing god." Seriously.

5) A woman associated with ActBlue donated over $150,000 to DemoKKKrat terrorists. Thing is, she appears to be poverty stricken and lives in a trailer.

6) So typical of Zero. His massive Borg-like "library" didn't pay a contractor $4 million and the company had to lay off 25. Even in "retirement," Zero is still doing his best to kill the American economy. But now we have other subcontractors are filing claims against the Zero Presidential Borg Palace in Chicago, which is not paying its bills.

9) The ferals are starting to invade even gated community pools and the fascist homeowners associations, which otherwise pride themselves as Lil Hitlers, can do nothing about it.

10) President Trump announced increases on tariffs on 60 nations that are not doing enough to stop forced labor. The 60 includes the Euros. Coming up? The DemoKKKrat Terror Party will now have to defend slavery. Again.

12) The U.S. ceased sending funds to the Virgin Islands Housing Authority, citing corruption. I think pretty soon word will get out that you cannot be engaged in any kind of fraud and expect fed dollars.

14) Atlantic spoogie Jonathan Chait thinks the DSA's best shot is to "abolish" the Senate. Pray tell, little ligament-twister, how do you plan to do that? How do you plan to get a Constitutional amendment? I wrote about this the other day.

15) We are quietly moving back to private security screenings at airports, as Tampa ditches the TSA.

17) I will support the GOP nominee in 2028, and right now I think it is J.D. Vance, but there has been an X/online campaign to boost Muy Macho Marco, who also would be good. Unfortunately, much of it isn't coming from 'Merica.

18) While it's not John Brennanski or The Clap, James Clapper, the highest ranking DemoKKKrat yet---HA's Lt. Governor---has been indicted on charges of corruption. But wait! Four other top DemoKKKrats were indicted in the plot as well. One of these little mobsters was getting $7 million for "consulting" on Covid, but wanted more. For a mere $70,000 in bribes for a non-compete "consulting" and testing contract. Thanks to fine, honorable exchanges like this, the average Hawaiian was paying three times the average for a useless Covid test. Oh, and HA was already sitting on over $22 million in China Virus tests it had never used.. While this is going on, Trump's DOJ is investigating Kollyfornia and Xavier Becerra along with the Oleaginous Butyracious Gruesome for similar corruption, and Dana Williamson, Gruesome's former chief of staff, has flipped.

IN AI NEWS

19) Jim Kuypers reviews the war on the so-called AI "Oligarchs," a phraseology that spans left and right. The themes are "extraordinary control," a group of "new oligarchs," regulatory capture, and shifting of costs to the public and profits to the private sector. Of course, all of these critics want more government control---something the last 50 years has taught us is an absolute disaster. In fact, at least two of the new "oligarchs" have pushed for more government oversight and greater public participation in the profits.

20) This report from Google says that so far AI is not resulting in a "jobs Armageddon" but in fact is assisting people in doing their jobs.

IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL NEWS

21) Trump's creation of "Mega Master" hearings have caused deportation orders to soar. Yay. Meanwhile, a memo from Rutabaga's final days show he was trying to extend "temporary protective status" to an additional 3 million. That doesn't mean 3 million more would be let in, but that those already here would be protected against deportations.

22) Eleven have been indicted in smuggling deaths of illegals in a metal shipping container.

23) In Chester Co., PA, a list of those summoned for jury duty and rejected for being non-citizens is 65 pages long. In New Jersey, some 75,000 non-citizens are chosen for jury duty. No wonder our court decisions are so messed up.

IN CULTURAL NEWS

24) Another phony DemoKKKrat book "best seller" as the Senior Skank's book, View from the East Wing, opened on Amazon at #1 then within 2 weeks completely disappeared. Probably should have been called, "A View to a Kill."

26) Last time I had a story about how the culture is slowly changing, citing the absence of rap songs in the top 100 and a revival of interest in classical music. How about this? There is a movement to restore cursive writing. Today, half of all states require or "strongly encourage" instruction in cursive vs. just 14 a decade ago.

28) Couldn't happen to a nicer place: the New Azteca (LA) school district is on the verge of bankruptcy. What, can't bill for a million Juans and Juanitas now?

29) President Trump ordered signs outside the Smithsonian warning of inaccurate information with some of the exhibits. Good. In the 1990s I served on several national boards appointed by the feds and the National Endowment for the Humanities to review applications for museum exhibits, grants, and so on. They were ALL, UNIFORMLY terrible. I was outvoted, then never asked to return, but not one should have been funded. All "race, class, gender."

IN ECONOMIC NEWS

30) Shoplifting has surged among the millennials and well off, which is not surprising. When no one is held accountable, no one is held accountable. Or, as Bosch says, "Everybody counts or nobody counts."

35) Ford recalled 380,000 vehicles over rear seat issues.

37) Not only are we NOT running out of oil, but now we have discovered 600 years' worth of coal buried under federal land.

IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS

39) The ghoulish and Malochian levels of this are stunning, but predictable. Now the Canucks not only want to encourage assisted death, but want to harvest organs from said "volunteers" before their hearts even stop beating. Trump is right to cut off ties with this Baal-worshipping pseudo country. And seriously, is it that far a step to go to begin organ removal of prisoners on death row? Or of ANYONE deemed by the state to be "about to die?" (I.e., half of the Senate)

40) I don't know why, but the theme song from "Mary Tyler Moore"---"You're gonna make it after all"---pops up (no pun intended) as a beautiful porn star has been sworn in as a senator in the Columbian legislature. I guess someone might say they're all whores, but this has a different twist to the condom.

42) For a nation "owned" by Israel, this is odd: the U.S. and Saudi Arabia reached a deal to build nuke reactors there.

IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

44) Despite mixed claims from fans and critics, "The Odyssey" is doing very well at the box office with over $322 million world wide so far. My own industry friends have said everything from it being an exceptional movie in every way to very good but uneven. Since it's not a story I wanted to see anyway, I have no plans to go.

45) LeBrewski James signed with the Philadelphia 76ers. Good. I hate that team anyway.

46) One of the two real stars in the Womens National (Lesbian) Basketball Association, Sophie Cunningham, the cute, vivacious, and courageous teammate of Caitlin Clark, stood firm on "no men in women's sports." Her new shoe immediately sold out.

47) Former Dallas Cowboy quarterback and star football announcer Tony Romo was arrested for DUI in WI.

48) I suppose this is what singer Dean Martin meant when he crooned, "Ain't that a Kick in the Head?" Filmmaker Sophia Maddox was "devastated" to learn that her grandfather was Chuckling Charlie Manson.

IN MEDICAL NEWS

49) Rand Paul is great when it comes to dropping documents and providing evidence. He doesn't get much further than that, however, failing to ever try to form alliances or trade votes that might actually accomplish something. Nevertheless, his latest document dump on China Virus related emails, texts, Slack, and other sites shows the scrotumsnots inside CDC and other government agencies were well aware of the Wuhan "leak" or deliberate release; that they knew it didn't come from "bats"; that they coordinated with the (mostly) evil intelligence community. Jeff Childers has the full analysis here. One of these intestinal liners actually told people on his lists to "stay off email." Molecular biologist Alina Chan says there is enough misconduct evidence on the authors of the "proximal origin" paper denying a leak that they should be investigated.

51) Fascinating new take on Operation Warpspeed, which this author claims derailed a Deep State plan to put large numbers of un-vaxxed Americans into detainment camps for a decade as it slow-rolled a vax. Now, mind you, I never took the vax. But this is a different take.

AND FINALLY . . .

52) First it was Taco Bell. Now it's Krogers, a major midwestern grocery chain that is recalling over 1.6 million eggs over salmonella. What's a country coming to when you can't get a good dose of food poisoning now and then? Playing in Alamagordo, NM, I once had food poisoning strike in the middle of a set. I literally fell off my drum stool and disappeared behind my set. The rest of the band and the audience thought it was part of the show. They didn't particularly like the vomit that followed.
