HEADLINES: R makes LA Mayor Runoff; Homelessness an industry in LA; Supes uphold AL redistricting map
The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow
IN POLITICAL NEWS
1) Trump's endorsement record continues as Tom Kean, Jr. won in New Jersey. He finally lost one in IA as Randy Feenstra lost, but the GOP candidate there is likely stronger and a better shot to win the governorship. Meanwhile, if this poll is even remotely correct (and I don't believe polls, but for those who do . . . ) the Ds are on track to actually LOSE seats in the House and Senate. A 1% national lead in a generic poll is death for them. Again, don't do polls, but this poll has the national margin at only 2%, still terrible for Ds. Meanwhile, CA had a jungle primary governor's race, and Steve Hilton, the R is hanging in and should make the cut---but it's CA and they keep counting. And it looks like New Azteca (LA) mayor Karen Ass won't get 50% in the primary and will have a runoff with R Spencer Pratt---itself something of a victory, though Ass will win. Oh, and there is another voter roll purge lawsuit, this one not by Judicial Watch, in Kollyfornia demanding that 873,000 more dead voters be purged. This was on top of the 1.5 million already culled. DemoKKKrats are seeing their voter base shrink like crazy.
5) How badly is the neo-nazi DemoKKKrat candidate for the ME senate race doing? Badly enough that Janet Mills, the governor, who had already dropped out for "lack of money" now says she may reenter the race. In a sense, this is good. fracure the DemoKKKrats, discourage the far left whackos so they stay home in November. Meanwhile, in deep blue OR---and I know it's "polls," so take with a grain of salt, but, Rs are in a tie for the governor's race. Meanwhile, in TX, Talcumpowder Talarico once compared a fetus to a "tapeworm."
6) Kollyfornians fleeing to red states are driving up home prices. Yes, this is a problem. We see it here in AZ. For so long, these people have been used to these ridiculously high prices, and when they come to red states, they can offer far above normal home prices.
7) Chris Bray shows that some of the homeless problem in LA is the result of people making money off homeless. One group are van brokers, who buy used vans then allow the homeless to "rent" them (some vans don't even work). The question is, what do these vanlords do when the homeless don't pay? Then there are the "body brokers" who get drug addicts from all over the country, ship them to LA to bill health insurance for them.
8) EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has made criminal referrals for several green "non-profits" who are "self-dealing" in energy grants.
IN AI NEWS
9) A new study shows that people who use AI frequently expect to be judged more negatively by other people.
10) Anthropic has filed for what could be a $1 trillion IPO.
11) This is the way. This is the future. A big data center in west TX generates its own power and has a water reuse system that uses its allowed water in a reuse system that draws nothing else from the community. Look for more of these.
IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN NEWS
12) The Trump administration has issued new orders for banks related to financing illegal immigrants and human smugglers.
IN CULTURAL NEWS
13) A cell phone ban in New York schools received a ringing endorsement of 80% of the teachers, who say attention spans better, less distractions and violence.
IN TRANSOID NEWS
15) Many states are rejecting so called "Pride" month celebrations to instead feature "Nuclear Family Month." For example, IN. This is the way. Meanwhile, so-called "Pride" celebrations dry up as corporate funding disappears.
16) The Senate is investigating claims that team USA Hockey sought to keep plugging in men into women's sports despite rulings against it.
IN ECONOMIC NEWS
17) The FBI has made the largest crypto seizure ever in a scam crackdown. Wait, I thought that the government couldn't get your crypto?
18) Wolf Richter calls the labor market "weirdly decent." Demand for employees (job openings) are up by over 7% as layoffs declined.
20) Two NM counties account for 78% of all on-shore oil production.
21) Home prices have finally started to fall.
IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS
23) Typical moronic, destructive spooge from Mediocre Britain, as a performing arts agency had to cancel "Dreamgirls" for too many white performers. May this island sink into the sea.
24) In 2021, Canada has a hoax news report of mass Indian graves that resulted in arson attacks on multiple churches. The hoaxy Canuck news sources printed recantations . . . of a sort as it has been determined there was no such thing.
IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
25) The Clinton Broadcasting System (CBS) fired so-called reporter Scott Pelley.
26) Grammy winning Peabo Bryson, dead of a stroke at 75. Sax legend Sonny Rollins, dead at 95.
27) In exceptionally good news, NPR has closed its "climate desk" and fired its climate reporters who were perpetuating a hoax.
28) "The Climb," a Brit eco protester film, flopped before it could even get finished, ending production nearly half a million dollars still in the hole.
IN MEDICAL NEWS
29) One small factor in the rise of obesity is the end of recess in public schools.
30) The feds charged foreign nationals working at the National institute of Health with smuggling in monkey pox. Such fine people. "We're a nation of immigrants." (I guess including monkeys)
31) Dr. Mehmet Oz announced a Medicaid crackdown, including work requirements for able bodied. He says 35% of Medicaid recipients may not be legal.
AND FINALLY . . .
32) I know this was keeping you up at night, but the most right whale calves have been born since 2009. Sooo much better than those left whale calves.
