IN POLITICAL NEWS

1) The Supreme Court held off some of the most important decisions for last, hurling out a trove of decisions two days ago and yesterday. We won some, lost some, and some still have to be played out. However, with the exception of the mail-in voting case, these went exactly as both I and Zen Master predicted. First, the Court (in a ruling written by Amy Coney Barrett) ruled that late arriving ballots may be counted (as per Mississippi law) but must be postmarked before election day. To many conservatives, this seemed like a major loss: I think it's only a minor loss. The Court ruled on the Constitutional authority given to states to handle elections, but at the same time ruled that the only ballots that can be counted are those postmarked before election day. That doesn't prevent cheating at all, but does make it just a little bit harder. It's a 40-60 loss in my book, but by restoring election processes to the states, I don't see how Congress can legislate this. I hope I'm wrong---not that this gutless Congress or Senate will do anything. Then came the transoid case of West Virginia v. BJP in which the Court said states may prohibit men from participating in women's sports due to Title IX. It's as close as the Supes have come to defining a woman, using the term, "biological sex." As Jennifer Sey wrote, "women's sports are for women,: Next we had the other case viewed as affecting elections, the "birthright citizenship" case, in which the Court refused to overturn current birthright citizenship practices, but opened the door for Congress to do so. Understand that even if conservatives' worst nightmares come true, and that hundreds of thousands of these anchor babies indeed grow up to be voters, that won't happen for another 18 years. Meanwhile, Trump has entirely sealed the border. Border Patrol is closing facilities, as there's just no "business." Moreover, Markwayne Mullin, the new head of Homeland Security, said the Wall will be completely finished by early next year. Then, the Trump Administration immediately pivoted to ENFORCEMENT of Birth Tourism yesterday, while Congressional allies already introduced new STATUTE bills that would end birth tourism. Unlikely these will pass, even though, as Jeff Childers points out, they are identical to one the useless Harry Reid introduced for DemoKKKrats in the 1990s. Kurt Schlicter, whom I echo on this, says that the shift in our direction has been massive and that based on judicial history, eliminating BC is "inevitable." Indeed, we have basically doubled the number of justices willing to consider this, with one of Trump's appointees, Kegger Kavanaugh, writing a dissent (as he did in the tariffs case) for how to proceed. Then, piling on top of that, a likely DemoKKKrat 2026 House loss followed by a 2028 J.D. Vance win, followed by 2031's census that takes another 8-14 seats from DemoKKKrats? I keep saying it: the DemoKKKrats will never hold national power again. More evidence? A socialist scabinhaler in CO defeated an incumbent D there. Gooooooood. These people will get crushed in a general.

2) There were other Court victories, with the Slaughter case probably in the long run being the most significant of all the cases, because it allowed the President to fire employees, thereby putting the Deep State in the crosshairs. If they thought 385,000 employees gone was a lot, wait til you see the slashing of the Deep State now. Supreme Court justice Neil Gorsuch said that the Slaughter decision was just the opening salvo against the Deep State. But at the same time the Court gave Trump broad powers to fire people, it protected Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook, who was alleged to have committed mortgage fraud, with a special careveout. It was too much for even Amy Coney Barrett, who pointed to the inconsistency of a general decision accompanied by a carveout. And in yet another decision viewed as a victory for Trump and Republicans, the Court struck down limitations on party spending and coordination with candidates. And finally, the CO Supes ruled against DemoKKKrats who wanted to redistrict CO.

3) To confirm what I said about the reality of birthright citizenship case, the DOJ just got $3.2 billion more for immigration enforcement, more agents, and more prosecutors. And DOJ has also filed suit against RI and MA for allowing illegals to have in state tuition. And the DOJ filed suit against KY, MI, MN, and PA for refusal to hand over food stamp data (i.e., fraud).

4) While some panic about things that, even if they went south, would not affect the country for 20 years, we have a national political party, The DemoKKKrat Terror Party, collapsing in front of our faces. Mark Halperin notes that the establishment DemoKKKrat Terrror Party scrotummonkeys cannot denounce the DSA fascists because "They [establishment] are terrified of them." Oh, and the DemoKKKrat Fascists of America are launching a "blue collar brigade" to try to fool ordinary employees to come back to the Terror Party. Won't work.

5) Here are some more takes on the Slaughter case. Vox screeched that it gives Trump "untrammeled power." While obviously the decision does not give Trump the authority to willy-nilly fire anyone, it greatly cuts into the immortality that many government agencies have grown under. The New York Slimes said the decision handed Trump "dangerous new power." Gooooooood.

6) Another quiet weekend in Benghazi-by-the-Lake (Chicago), where a mere 14 were shot over the weekend.

7) The DOJ is investigating AZ Sen. El Pollo Gallego for using campaign cash to go to the Super Bowl, Disney trips, and other amenities. El Pollo is totally in the pocket of the cartels.

8) Washington State has been ordered to repay $120 million it skimmed from teacher's pension funds. Oh, so you're telling me WA is even more broke than was thought?

9) GOP Congressman Tom Kean of NJ, who had been out of action for four months with a mystery disease, announced he had been treated for severe depression. Meanwhile, his prog class warrior Ro Khanna lives like the so-called "oligarchs" he fights, with an in-home elevator and a $190k Range Rover. Another Dinobernie---a socialist with multiple homes.

10) New Kabul's (LA's) metro has stopped enforcing fares, handing the system over to freeloading homeless criminal gulletstompers. As Christopher Rufo notes, it's a "Crime-ridden hellscape." There is actually a New Azteca "Bus Riders Union" that seeks to remove all cops (pretty much done), end all transit courts (you know, where people might be forced to pay), and to institute free fares. Why not? Ultimately all socialist enterprises end up with everything free for all, but available to none.

11) Tina Peters, released from jail, visited the White House.

12) Yertle ain't long for this world, as his medical request for help involved "advanced life support." Give it up Yertle.

13) The House passed a resoulution to expose sexual miscontuct payouts.

IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN NEWS

14) No illegal criminal aliens entered the country for the 13th straght month.

IN CULTURAL NEWS

15) The archdiocese in Groomer City (SF) agreed to pay $395 million to 500 victims of clergy sexual abuse.

16) Thanks for the mammaries, as Hooters shuts down all locations in four blue states. Just trying to keep you abreast of the news.

17) No wonder the ugly DemoKKKrat Terror Party is so freaked out about the Reflecting Pool. It is just one of nearly two-dozen beautification projects in D.C., including half a dozen new or replaced statues, gardens, and other projects to beautify the city. Take a look at the interactive map.

18) In something of a Panglossian view, Tyler Cowen argues that the birth death will turn the world into a small town and AI will force humans to be special. Riiiiiight. I mean, he is correct in that we will have an oversupply of housing and that AI will demand that people do very non-AI things to stand out, especially in the arts and entertainment. But falling birth rates are not good for anybody and AI will do its damndest to see to it that there eventually are no humans who aren't controlled by the Matrix. It's also interesting that the Bible never calls for reducing population levels, unless it is part of a war.

IN ECONOMIC NEWS

19) Mixed economic bag as total tax receipts rose, but tariff refunds will begin to affect that. Tax receipts have RISEN for the past four quarters. Tariffs have so far brought in $302 billion, and Trump is already engaging in end-runs around the Supes.

20) Ford has rehired 300 human engineers after AI failed to do the job. In Walter Isaacson's biography of Elon Musk, reported a time that Musk at his Tesla factory wasn't happy with the production. Machines were doing it. He ordered a test with humans vs robots, and humans won. He ripped out the robots and put humans back to work.

21) Duke Energy is now canceling its offshore wind farm.

IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS

22) More attacks on Christians in Nigeria, including the murder of a pastor. You know, TROP (trademark).

23) The French are croaking in large numbers because of the heat wave. You see, they don't seem to know what AC is.

24) The Latin American Trump wave continues, as Kieko Fujimori won the presidency in Peru. By my count that's El Salvador, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Peru and you can probably throw in Venezuela. Too bad the satanic ones got hold of Brazil, but we'll get 'er back.

25) The Sprouts at Brussels are moving to shut down Europe's biggest anti-migration campaign.

26) Volkswagen to cut over 100,000 jobs.

27) The U.S. will not renew the US-Mexico-Canada trade pact.

28) Victor Willis, the original voice of the Village People who sang "Y.M.C.A", dead at age 74.

IN MEDICAL NEWS

29) Just another reason the CIA must be torn down to the nubs and, if necessary, rebuilt differently, as the Agency investigated officers for espionage for not taking the China Virus Vax.

AND FINALLY . . .

30) Occasionally I take this opportunity to alert you to new and excellent books---I know, reading is a declining entertainment. Several years ago, James Best wrote Tempest at Dawn. This is a fictional look at the Constitutional Convention that makes it absolutely exciting. It's the best book on the Convention itself I ever found. Jim has now followed up with Maelstrom a novel about Lincoln's election and presidency, and it is gripping. Far from a bumpkin, Lincoln in Best's view is a clever, shrewd, and calculating politician who never lost his common touch. Maelstrom is a must read. And I'm going to see "Young Washington" on Saturday.
