The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow

IN POLITICAL NEWS

1) Now for some voter registration updates: We have MD, where DemoKKKrats actually outregistered Rs by about 400; in DE Rs picked up 7,700 net with both parties' registrations falling but as I show below, the long-term these are still a net loss for Ds. And we have this excellent update from Seth Keshel, showing November to June shifts: in FL, from +7.5 to 9.4% R; in IA +10.3 to 10.8% R (IA gained about 1,000 net new Rs last month); in PA +3.1 to 2.0% D; in NC +1.3 to .03% D; R; in AZ 6.8% to 7.0% R; and NV _.05% D to tied. Meanwhile, in a voter roll purge, Kollyfornia just removed 1.2 million inactive voters. That probably works out a net R gain of about 200,000. This apparently does NOT include Los Angeles County. More voter registration numbers on blue states here by Seth Keshel, this time of DemoKKKrat states. Surprise, surprise. They are ALL losing DemoKKKrat voters---New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, New Mexico, Maine Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Colorado. ALL OF THEM. New Mexico is now down to D+11, New Jersey at D+12. Keshel sees both as being battleground states in 2028.

3) Here are FIFTY major wins in the Big Beautiful Bill. But blue state Republicans are whining about the reduction in the "SALT" deductions and saying they won't pass "BBB" unless those are eliminated. SALT is "state and local taxes" which were allowed to be deducted prior to Trump. Basically, blue states get away with outrageously high taxes in part because the state taxes can be deducted from the federal tax. In other words, Trump wants to make the blue states really fell the pain they are inflicting, and the toadies from those states object.

4) The "Common Sense" DemoKKKrats, such as Ruy Teixeira, whom no one will listen to, warn that "net zero" is a net loser. Yep. It's Civil War #3 for DemoKKKrats: Tech Bros/AI v. Greenies.

5) So much for "Trump's tariffs will add to the deficit." The CBO says that by 2035 tariffs will add $2.8 trillion in new revenues.

6) It's too bad. Steve Bannon is looking like a Cheshire Cat in his criticisms of Elon Musk, who has gone off the deep end, no criticizing President Trump directly over the BBB and saying that Trump would have lost the election without him. Sorry, Elon. You were valued. But Just as in 2016 I thought that ONLY Steve Bannon saved the campaign, but that Jared Kushner was absolutely critical to getting Trump the money to win, so in 2024 the two biggest players were Scott Pressler, who almost singlehandedly flipped PA to Trump, and Susy Wiles, who kept Trump ON MESSAGE and ON TARGET. You were important, Elon, but they were key. Meanwhile, Tesla's stock has plunged. Business-wise, this was a dumb move for Elon. He already had DemoKKKrats hating him and destroying Teslas. Now he wants MAGA to join in? Let's hope this is all just a rock-band bromance-gone-sour and that it will all be patched up. Course, Bannon is calling on Musk to be deported! And DemoKKKrats now want the Epstein files released. Gee, almost like Trump planned this. If Dems succeed in "forcing" Trump to publish the Epstein files, it will be the biggest "briar patch" moment in political history.

8) Took them long enough. The Wall Street Journal admits the Trump political realignment is "real."

10) President Trump banned entry into the US for people from 12 countries that are "high risk" and have partial restrictions on travel from seven others.

11) The autopen scandal widens as a watchdog group says there is "no evidence' Rutabaga knew about the so-called "clean energy" executive orders. Rutabaga insists he "made the decisions" but doesn't say he signed them, while Trump orders a full investigation. Rutabaga's White House doctor has been subpoenaed by the Comer Committee. The always astute Jeff Childers notes this will have a "tectonic" impact on the 2026 midterms, as DemoKKKrats will be forced to defend Rutabaga without knowing what can---and will---be coming out. As Jeff wrote, "Dems who defend Biden risk looking complicit if damning memos or testimony later emerge. But those who try to distance themselves will fracture the party’s unity and invite civil war within the base." Oh no! He did not do dat? He says this "will invite civil war within the base." By my count this would be Civil War #5. The former press secretary took Rutabaga's side against the "betrayal" in her new book that no one will read. But it's an indicator of where things will head. But it may not be that easy. Childers (a lawyer) thinks it "likely" an investigation will turn up illegal, stupid, and treasonous uses of the autopen and that this will to to the Supes who, immunity-case-style, will be forced to set rules. Then Trump can use THOSE rules to go after aspects of the Rutabaga admin with prejudice. For the record Zen Master thinks nothing will come of this. News today is that Rutabaga only hand-signed ONE pardon, that of his son.

12) More Dem Civil War stuff, as "old gas" will be a key part of AI.

13) Like almost all other blue states, MN is losing people.

14) Put this in the "I VOTED FOR THIS" category: President Trump (while Elon fumes and Tweets) is preparing a massive federal defunding package for Kollyfornia.

16) You could have seen this coming from Uranus. The minute a Republican won the national popular vote, states would pull out of their idiotic and unconstitutional "Popular Vote Compact." Now ME is the first.

IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN NEWS

17) The DOJ sued Texas for giving illegal criminal aliens in-state tuition. An hour later, Texas joined the suit and abandoned the law.

18) ICE is holding 53,000 illegal criminals and needs more money. Come on, BBB. Meanwhile, murder rates have plummeted under Trump. Amazing what removing hundreds of thousands of gang bangers can do.

IN CULTURAL NEWS

19) Not sure I want to be led by these guys. Only 70% of Catholic priests and mainline Protestant pastors have a "sure" belief in God; only a quarter say Adam and Eve were real people; and not even half of all non-evangelical "mainline" ministers believe in hell. (Odd because Jesus spoke of hell much more than He ever did of heaven). Twice as many Protestants as Catholic men of the cloth believe in the inerrancy of the Bible. However, only 20% of evangelical and black ministers took the Bible literally.

20) Texas's use of an AI "tutor" program caused student test scores to soar.

21) The Department of Ed notified Columbia U. that it has "failed to meet accreditation standards" set by the Middle States Commission on Higher Ed. Good. Dump these bugplugger institutions' accreditation.

IN TRANSOID NEWS

IN ECONOMIC NEWS

23) The Feds say Kollyfornia's Bullet Train has "no path" and threaten to pull $4 billion. Good. Let Brad Pitt pay for it.

24) This is brilliant. Many DemoKKKrat lawmakers will boycott D.C. restaurants in a labor dispute. These are DemoKKKrat-owned restaurants, for the most part.

25) Getting there, getting there. The economy---well, entrepreneurs---added 139,000 jobs, beating "expectations." The gubmen shed 22,000 more jobs.

IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS

28) This is what happens when libtoids get in power. After a lib won the South Korean election, they voted to expand the Supreme Court there from 14-30, so that no other party will ever get a favorable ruling again. It's a matter of time now before South Korea falls into Rocket Man's hands, and he never had to fire a shot. And speaking of the NORKS, it appears they were using ChatGPT to hire North Korean workers.

29) No more rockets for Green Screen Zelensky, as Trump pulled the plug and is sending them to the U.S. military. Meanwhile, as always happens, the revision of the news is much different than the original "news," as far fewer Russkie planes were hit in the drone attack than Ukraine claimed.

IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

30) A retro review of "Jaws": 50 years later, still great. Still one of my top 10 movies of all time.

31) People may laugh---and I hate the Pittsburgh Steelers almost as much as the SF 49ers---but Aaron Rodgers can make them a Super Bowl contender. He is still that good.

32) Oh, for Pete's sake, are ANY of these people admirable? Billy Joel, whom I really like as a songwriter and like almost as much as a performer, admitted to two attempted suicides and a coma after an affair with his best friend's wife. Folks, I've been married for 37 years to the same woman and never attempted an affair with any of my best friend's five wives.

IN CHINA VIRUS NEWS

34) The trial over the death of Grace Schara, who, the family argues, was killed by the China Virus vax, has started.

AND FINALLY . . .

35) Scientists in Japan have developed a non-toxic plastic that dissolves in seawater within hours. Wow, Hollywood starlets better not go swimming, that's all I got to say.
