HEADLINES: Ds looking to fire chairman; Ds lose vote on anti-lawfare fund; Gabbard resigns
The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow
IN POLITICAL NEWS
1) This comes as a "ya gotta trust me," as I said I'd keep this source in confidence, but a DemoKKKrat outfit, analyzing the House races, was FAR more favorable to Rs than some of the R analysts. There are districts there that I had as a toss up or competitive that they think are safe R. Folks, here are a few seats they absolutely MUST win to have any hope of winning the House: AZ1 (being vacated by David Schweikert), IA 1 and 3, and they must hold all three OH seats. Meanwhile, nothing says "WINNING!" like a team firing its head coach. There are now calls to fire the DNC chairman Ken Martin. And CO DemoKKKrats have lashed out against their own governor there for his commutation of Tina Peters' sentence.
2) I hate to see this: DNI Tulsi Gabbard has resigned as her husband battles bone cancer.
3) Scott Presler, the human voter registration machine, was elected from Beaver Co., PA to be on the state Republican committee. Well done Scott. You deserve that and much more. Meanwhile, I have to agree with famous X poster Catturd that the real reason all the "influencers" are freaking out is that they did their very best in a very narrow race and couldn't move the needle one iota when Masshole got blown out. BTW, some of our favorite pollsters---you know who---had Masshole winning by 10, for an almost 20-point error. And these would be the pollsters that, before they got obsessed with Israel, were the most accurate. Cautiouary tale.
4) The GOP rejected a measure that would have blocked Trump's anti-lawfare fund. Another DemoKKKrat loss.
5) Chris Bray shows how Oleaginous Butyracious Gruesome is flat lying about the so-called "high speed rail," which is still using AI to make you think it's actually built ANYTHING, which it hasn't. This is fraud, pure and simple. They nearly threw Preston Tucker in jail after WW II because he actually tried to build cars according to his contract, whereas the evil Gruesome isn't even trying to build anything.
6) It's interesting that while individual candidates and state DemoKKKrat Parties have money---though not as much as Republicans---the national party is bankrupt, in debt, and po. In a sense, this is what happened to the GOP after the WinRed fiasco where people said, "Nope, not giving money to any party. I'll give to individuals." Speaking of which, I need to make another donation to Andy Biggs for AZ governor.
7) One of Count Dooku (Jack Smith's) attorneys has been charged with stealing confidential investigation docs, almost certainly to sell them or write a book with them.
9) Just the latest Nick Shirley-related sting, as a MN "daycare" owner has been charged with fraud. And the DOJ has charged 15 others with fraud there. Remember about a year ago when all this started I told you that based on the fact that almost every government agency and cabinet level office was involved in different investigations, MN was probably a milk run for the massive fraud cases against CA, coming soon? Yeah, buckle up.
10) The scuttlebucket DemoKKKrat U.S. Senate candidate in ME, Graham Platner, said a soldier shot four times "didn't deserve to live." He'll still get almost all DemoKKKrat votes.
11) In FL, extremist and often Islamic terror groups are hiding behind nonprofits. This is why we got rid of USAID.
12) I still remain skeptical that there will be trials, but it DOES seem to be creeping closer, as DOJ "insiders" worried that the Brennan investigation is staffed with Trump loyalists. Er, yeah. That's how it goes when you win elections.
IN AI NEWS
13) I believe this is true, but Big Data is going to have to make the argument that a data center's use of the same amount of water generates five times the economic output of an almond farm. Maybe. There is a certain romance with farming and ranching though, and you can't eat data. Some 80% of Americans tell Gallup they don't want a data center in their back yard. So as I've always said, either BYOW (bring your own water) or try to convince people to see their utility bills go up 300%.
14) President Trump delayed a decision on AI due to concerns he had in its current form. The issue is (see above) water and power, but on the other hand the clear objective is to stay ahead of Chy-na. We cannot lose this race.
IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN NEWS
15) Trump's new executive order requires banks to take illegal immigrant status into account as a liability when evaluating financial risk or they could be , well, exposed to federal blowback. So much for the old Bank of Amigo giving out credit lines to illegals.
16) According to Shipwreckedcrew, the Supes solved the illegal immigrant driver problem by making them nearly uninsurable.
IN ALIEN ALIEN NEWS
IN CULTURAL NEWS
18) Ryan Burge shows that in the "Happiness Index," the percent of those who are "pretty happy" actually rose by 5%, but those who are "very happy" dropped significantly and those who are grumps has increased. Religious people are slightly more happy than non-believers. For those who say "Money doesn't buy happiness?" EEEEEHHH. Wrong. There is a small, but decided gap among income groups with those having higher incomes reporting more happiness.
IN ECONOMIC NEWS
19) Meta ("Meta" means death in Hebrew) has canned 8,000 employees. Hello AI!
20) Consumer sentiment hit a low for the year. Better now than August.
IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS
21) Racist South Africa's laws against white farmers may cost all of Africa its food, as the white farmers where provide most of the nation's food and that of much of the rest of Africa, and production has fallen dramatically with anti-white laws.
23) Greenland engaged in a test run of "competency-testing" parents, which involved separating them from their kiddos. In 2025 the program was judged a failure, but as of today, many families still can't get their children back from the state.
26) Even the UN is backing off its stupid climate change hoax but only after the Hoaxsters made billions. As Steve Guest notes, "Every apocalypse is a business model."
27) STDs have skyrocketed in Europe, with Spain the worst.
28) Austria is tightening up its quota system for immigrants. Probably too late. Likewise, Denmark is becoming less friendly to migrants.
IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
29) NASCAR driver Kyle Busch dead at the early age of 41. Also, i missed this when it happened, but former Cowboy QB who led the Boys to Super Bowl 5, Craig Morton, died on May 9 from a fast-spreading sepsis. RIP. I will always view the turnaround of the Cowboys from the moment they elevated Roger Staubach over Morton. It was unfortunate, but Roger had "it" and Craig didn't, but he at least got the Broncos to a Super Bowl---which they lost to the Cowboys.
30) Deadline tries to spin a $12m open for the new "Star Wars" Mandalorean movie as a win. This is pathetic. It will NOT be helped by word of mouth, which is it is absolutely horrible.
IN MEDICAL NEWS
32) Vaxiopathic NIH officials have been forced out and some are facing criminal charges for their criminal role in foisting dangerous vaxxes on the public and lying about them. These officials all reported directly to Dr. Fallacy. Here's how Jeff Childers in his "Coffee & Covid" puts it today: This is "a targeted, methodical, top-to-bottom removal of the specific people who ran the specific institution that was at the center of the COVID-19 pandemic response."
33) Amputation rates have risen, particularly among those using opiods. But could it also be the addadictomies and takeadickfrommes?
AND FINALLY . . .
A FL man went out of his way to find the owner of $30,000 and return it, saying "It wasn't mine to take." I think I might have reasoned, "Well, the owner really wanted me to have this money . . . ."
