IN POLITICAL NEWS
1) President Trump now at 53% approval. When the dust over the tariffs and illegals settle, Trump will be in the 60s.
2) Another chowderbiscuit judge, this time from some "Court of International Trade" (do we really need this?) blocked his tariffs. No big deal, say economists at Goldman Sachs. He has multiple workarounds. In fact, it "might not change the final outcome for most major US trading partners,” Goldman Sachs economists said in a research note. “For now, we expect the Trump administration will find other ways to impose tariffs,” they added. Then, almost immediately, an appeals court shot this down before the email cache could be cleared.
3) In its first of many reduction bills tied to DOGE, the White House has already sent $9.4 billion in cuts to Congress. We'll see if they act. Elon Musk said he was "disappointed" in the "Big Beautiful Bill."
NOTE: It's time for some historical reality here. First, Stephen Miller explained that DOGE cuts could not be included in the "Big Beautiful Bill" because of the classification. They had to be submitted later after the bill was passed. The first batch was already sent out. Get it. FIRST BATCH. This won't be the last, and my guess is that ultimately almost every DOGE cut will make it over to Congress. Second, the constant whine on X and other social media ("Where are the arrests?" "Why are we only deporting 1,000 illegal a day?") is getting old. Apparently no one has ever read a U.S. history book. I can suggest one. The nature of American government as established by the Founders is to make change as difficult as possible; to provide multiple checks and balances (yes, including courts, even when we don't like them); and to prevent revolutions. With the exception of FDR, Trump has moved faster, and done more in less time than any President in history---and FDR had the near-universal agreement that the Great Depression was a calamity of the first order, as well as having a 2/3 majority of Congress and the courts at his back. So far, Trump is on a pace to issue about 450 executive orders in his first year, or 30% MORE than FDR. And, as I said in my substack the other day, "Culture will codify these Executive Orders," not Congress and they won't be changed in the future because they will be a part of life. So please stop whining.
4) The FBI will probe "targeted violence" at Christians and conservatives in a Seattle rally. Of course the evil Seattle mayor says violence is all the Christians' fault. Moreover, the FBI is looking into the Dobbs leak, the pipe bomber, the White House coke, and multiple other issues. As Jeff Childers says in his usual astounding daily column,
5) The U.S. has begun actively revoking the visas of Chinese students, largely because they are by nature spies for the ChiComs. That is why they are allowed to "study" here.
6) Citing a "railroad job," Trump promised to look into pardons for those convicted of trying to kidnap Witless Protection. (This almost certainly was an FBI-enhanced and encouraged setup). Ed Martin, the DOJ "Pardon Czar," said he was going to take a "hard look" at this case.
7) President Trump won a major legal victory in his defamation case involving the Russia Hoax and the Pulitzer Prize. Meanwhile Team Trump won another legal victory, this time in expanding the scope of investigations into NY AG Letitia James.
8) My court guru Zen Master is disappointed that Trump isn't moving faster to submit judge nominations. But here is one: Emil Bove to 3rd Circuit.
9) Trump fired the top copyright official after dismissing the Librarian of Congress. In his first term with President Trump, Steve Bannon once asked me if I wanted the LoC gig. I said "no thank you."
10) FBI DIrector Kash Patel said Jim (Scrotumtoter) Comey's little sea-shell stunt where he threatened President Trump caused a slew of copycats that took agents off real cases involving child abductions. Scrotumtoter is an evil pus-sac.
11) In voter registration news, IA saw a net gain of about 2,200 Rs.
12) The Trump administration has backed down on Harvard . . . kinda. They gave the school 30 days to achieve compliance before yanking the foreign student visas.
13) Muy Macho Marco begins a massive State Department reorganization merging or eliminating some 300 offices. As always, a comment here from Jeff Childers is welcome, as he discusses Trump's cabinet: "Whereas Roosevelt’s inner team built the apparatus of modern liberal governance, Trump’s team is systematically dismantling it, agency by agency, doctrine by doctrine. Never before has a president enjoyed this level of alignment across every axis of executive power —national security, public health, foreign policy, education, and the courts— and used it not to entrench a legacy, but to eradicate his enemies’ institutional infrastructure." Powerful stuff, that.
14) In justice-related news, Dan Bongino says the FBI will soon release the video footage of Jeffrey (He-didn't-kill-himself-did-he?) Epstein proving he, well, killed himself, while newly released FBI docs show that Nellie Ohr (of Ohr and Ugly-Ohr's team) lied under oath about the Russia Hoax. Maybe, just maybe an arrest Dan? Oh, and the DOJ launched an investigation of Cal Poly's antisemitic policies when it told Jewish students to "hide their Jewish identity to avoid being targeted." And another of these free-food-fraudsters (a Muslim . . . shocked!) was arrested in MN.
15) Axios says we have a growing mental health problem due to "climate change" fears. No, we have a growing mental health problem due to DemoKKKrats and the phlegm-enhancers at Axios.
16) Another traitor was arrested yesterday, handing over key info to our enemies. Seriously, we need firing squads, and I'll volunteer. I have good aim.
17) Bernard Kerik, the NYPD police commissioner during 9/11, died at age 69.
IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN NEWS
18) ICE arrested 40 illegals in Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.
19) The Supes, with Justice Johnny and ACB voting the right way again, allowed the Trump administration to strip protections from 500,000 illegal criminals. WINNING. I been sayin' it and sayin' it. Trump has been winning almost ALL of these cases that get to a final disposition.
IN TRANSOID NEWS
20) Kollyfornia, under fire for letting men win all the girls' events, has tried to half-step it by saying the second place finisher (they mean, a real female) can "share" the 1st place podium with the male. Er, what happens when the top THREE places are all dudes?
21) Good. Support for same-sex marriage has dropped 14 points among Republicans in the last few years. I was badly off in one of my predictions about 20 years ago. I said that legalized homosexual marriage would lead to an explosion of polygamy. Nope, they blew right past that one.
IN ECONOMIC NEWS
22) The Atlanta Rhythm Section is now cookin'! Atlanta Fed revised 2nd growth estimate from 2.2% to 3.8%.
23) A federal appeals court temporarily allowed Trump's tariffs to stay in place.
24) A top AI CEO predicts a "white collar bloodbath" in legal, consulting, finance, and other areas and says that industry officials need to "stop sugarcoating" the coming reality. Steve Bannon has been warning about this on his "War Room." But here's the deal: AI is coming as sure as the railroad did. Better adjust now, not complain.
25) Good for her. Jennifer Sey, with her XX-XY athletics that admits there are biological differences between boys and girls, is suing the state of Colorado for its new law that censors anyone who speaks truth to spoogieness.
26) Employees are hiding their use of ChatGPT---a headline no doubt written by . . . ChatGPT.
27) Core inflation dropped to its lowest level since 2021. WINNING. Meanwhile the U.S. goods trade deficit plunged in the last month. WINNING. We cut the trade deficit in half. Personal income is rising. Good. I want my hot tub.
28) With the EV mandate gone, GM has switched a major production line to making V-8 internal combustion engines for trucks. This is the largest single engine plant investment in GM's history. Meanwhile, Trump's tariffs have driven (no pun intended) Vokswagen to plan a massive new U.S. investment.
29) A top global food company, JBS USA, will invest $135 million in the U.S.
30) The Supes voted 8-0 (ACB votes right again) to limit the power of judges to use the EPA to limit growth.
IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS
31) This has to be a movie: The Thessalonian Bananas. A bunch of coke was found hidden in a shipment of bananas in Thessalonika.
32) The Israeli Defense Force used lasers to shoot down incoming missiles.
33) She's baa-ack. Frau Hitler, Angela Merkel, says Europe won't survive without MORE illegal criminal invaders. "Excuse me, Ms. Hun. One rattlesnake bite isn't enough. Here have a few more."
34) The ChiComs whined about the foreign student visas, now President Trump says they "totally violated" the tariff deal. Good. Smack them hard. Meanwhile, it looks like the ChiComs paid protesters to show up against Falun Gong events in NYC. So between Soros and the ChiComs, we have to ask, are ANY protesters legit anymore?
35) The Canucks are heading for a recession. But, hey, elect another liberal mushgusher.
IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
36) A Louisiana rapper, Young Boy, was pardoned by President Trump and thanked him profusely.
37) President Trump is moving forward with his lawsuit against CBS after refusing the settlement offer. Gooooooo.

38) The SEC is cracking down on fans rushing onto the football field after games with massive fines on the home schools.
IN CHINA VIRUS NEWS
39) The U.S. Senate investigation into the China Virus coverup of deaths and side effects has named over 70 government researchers and officials, including Francis Collins, Dr. Fallacy, and Rochelle Walensky. Good. Arrest their asses. Meanwhile Dan Bongino says that the FBI is investigating the "coverup" of the China Virus origins. Well, it originated in a ChiCom lab in part funded by Dr. Fallacy. That' coverup? By the way, eight House members have died since the vax was imposed. All were DemoKKKrats who backed the mandates. Karma? They are taking themselves right off the board, as they are doing with abortion.
40) Remember the other day when I told you RFK was absolutely dismantling the Obama/Rutabaga era NIH and reinventing it? Jay Bhattacharya, NIH head, now gave permission to researchers to publish papers without first getting political clearance from NIH or any other gubment agency. That's big. Imagine if we'd had that during the China Virus?
41) The CDC will no longer report China Virus-related pneumonia deaths. In other words, people die of pneumonia, not the China Virus.
AND FINALLY . . .
42) I think they're gonna need a bigger boat: a 20-foot shark trails a small boat near Block Island, RI. "Must go faster."
