HEADLINES: More post-mortems; Roll call of incredibly horrible Ds elected Tues; Market sobers up and crashes

The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow

IN POLITICAL NEWS

1) In his post-mortem, Chris Bray, whose vocabulary far exceeds my own, observed "We have elected very strange people, in a cultural cycle that mostly elevates very strange people who are wired for emotive, performative, gestural scene-chewing weirdness." Not only is the recent crop of DemoKKKrat Terror Party fungalwrappers far, far left and evil, but many (most?) are weird beyond belief, and never would have even been allowed to manage a Taco Bell 50 years ago. E Data Guy has another great post-mortem here, in which he points out the incredible stay-at-home dynamic of Rs. Seth Keshel shows that in TX, apparently 20% of the red suburbanites voted for the DemoKKKrat terrorists.

2) Votes are still being counted, Shocked! The New York Slimes says the Republican will lose. If so, it would continue the trend, where only three times in memory---one with Lauren Boebert and one with David Valladeo (I think there was a third) has a Republican trailed going into late counting and won. The first time in my memory in which an R trailing in late voting actually won. Meanwhile, DemoKKKrats campaigned on affordability and it took only two hours for them to talk about investigating Trump. And to ensure there will be no affordability, an Appeals Court green-lit The Amazing Zohran's tax on second homes. R congressman Steve Scalise warns that the DemoKKKrats are already preparing massive "witch hunts." This will be painful, but experience from 2021-2023, then again in the last two years, shows that if they go down this path and do not govern? 2024 will be exactly the reverse of Tuesday night.

3) In a great column, citing the book The Fourth Turning, Seth Keshsl predicts there will be impeachments, and that given the heavy number of D senators, preventing conviction will be a battle. He says it will be close, and that in such a case the public would rally to Trump's side. Isaac Schorr writes that the DemoKKKrats triumph may end in tears, given their terrorist proclivities. That Trump may be preparing to fight is signaled by the replacement of Chief of Staff Susie (No Leaks) Wiles with the combative strategist Stephen Miller. Victor Hanson argues there will be a big fight, and that Trump needs to "talk softly and carry a big stick." In "Ten Things We know About the Midterms So far," Michael Baharaeen argues that this was a referndum on Trump, not an endorsement of the DemoKKKrats; that the moderates actually did better than the Progs; that Americans hate inflation but don't trust anyone to fix it; that Trump's coalition was more fragile than believed; and that America remains a center-right country. (The only evidence of that I find is that a) Trump remains historically popular with Rs, and b) the initiatives representing the politicies people want were quite conservative). Finally, if you're of a prophetic mindset, this guy at 8:00 EST predicted a big blue win and a massive turn next year. Guess he found out somehow that 30% of all evangelicals stayed home.

5) They don't call 'em the DemoKKKrat Terror Party for nuthin'. A newly elected NC DemoKKKrat terrorist representative said he would be happy to go to jail if he could beat up Stephen Miller. Do you believe them yet when they tell you who they are? Here is more from the DemoKKKrat Terror Party: the evil Oleaginous Butyraceous Gruesome has now spared every single murderer on death row in Kollyfornia. Oh, and in New Azteca (Los Angeles), Nithya Raman, who is far, far, far to the left of mayor Karen Ass, defeated the Posterior One. And this Fort Worth DemoKKKrat, despite being a criminal and ineligible to run, and despite having dropped out, somehow managed to win the seat TWO TIMES in the same election. This Amish DemoKKKrat didn't wait 24 hours after being elected before committing a crime. Well, one they caught him for. As for the other DemoKKKrat "representatives.," a Somali day-care owner won election to the MN state legislature depite a fraud investigation. ." Then there was the Pemberton, NJ mayor who lost his race a week after advancing on a critic at a town hall meeting. Then there was the IA DemoKKKrat who got elected after he had suspended his campaign in September. Oh, and the ABC exits? Some 72% of Rs said America's support for Israel was "about right' and 59% said it wasn't strong enough. People, if the Islamist fascists led by Moron and I KEEL YOU and AOC and the rest begin their persecutions, the only joy I will have is that perhaps I will get to watch the fellow travellers like David FrenchFry, Eric Erickson, Jonah Goldburger, and Nuremburg Nicky get theirs first. I might even applaud.

6) Already "I Keeel You" El-Fayed says he won't back Chuck SpewMore. Here comes their presidential nominee for 2028, the Amazing Zohran.

7) One beautiful diamond in the sea of dung, as the hideous Salon propaganda organ is going out of business.

IN CULTURAL NEWS

14) The great Ryan Burge proves that the "Nones" (no religious affiliation) don't want kids---and never did. But when I pressed him as to why, he admitted it still baffled him.

IN ECONOMIC NEWS

15) Yesterday the markets surged on the end of uncertainty about who would run government Today they crashed on the realization that the DemoKKKrats will have a major say. Tech stocks were crushed as the propositions universally opposed data centers.

17) We will soon find out if this is a harbinger or residue of the last five years of economic unrest, as Outback Steak House declared bankruptcy. By the way, Outback has an interesting story, started by four industry veterans, at least one of whom came out of the family tree of the pathbreaking "Steak and Ale" restaurants founded by Norman Brinker in 1966. Other spinoffs from Brinker's tuteledge included founders of Chili's and Bennigans. Brinker later headed Pillsbury's restaurant division and ran Jack in the Box, Burger King, Maggiano's, Macaroni Grill, and On The Border, and inspired Applebees, Boston Market and Sizzler.

18) Wolf Richter asks, where are the jobs going? His answer is

*manufacturing is growing, transportation rising

*construction, utilities, trade, and healthcare are booming

*professional and business services exploding

*retail down, but communication and information services crashing

*leisure and entertainment growing

*gubment work? Utterly crashing

19) Lionsgate film company has grown.

IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS

21) The Bank of England raised interest rates. I hope this isn't a repeat of 1837 when the BoE's interest rate raise started the Panic of 1837, one of the worst in our history.

22) El Salvador's excellent President Bukele responded to the apparent murder by Haitian terror squads by sending in 2000 troops and in a matter of days the gang leader who took them was captured.

23) Bomb threats in Europe are "probably" a coordinated campaign, says Ireland

24) Paraguay's national bank just seized a "digital bank" with ties to El Presidente.

IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

25) "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" star Russell Brand has been found guilty of rape and sexual assault and can face a lifetime in jail. We are about to find out if his newfound Christian faith is real or was a PR tool to avoid a verdict. Pray for the former.

26) LIV Golf is done five years after competing with the PGA.

27) Here are eight American towns every foodie should have on the bucket list. I'll add this: Mesa, AZ, "Los Dos Amigos," some of the hottest Mexican food ever. And fabulous.

AND FINALLY . . .

28) We need more of this. A man spent 12 days to return lost cash to a laborer who needed it for his daughter. I'm afraid I'd probably find out first, . . . was this a DemoKKKrat or a Republican laborer. I'm terrible.
