The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow

IN POLITICAL NEWS

1) Just as FL continues to move to the right, VA continues to move left, with early voting there about 4.5% further left than in 2025 electorate. The national GOP has pulled money out of the NC senate race, but Trump and Musk can make it up. Whatley is truly the only R in trouble here. Seth Keshel's latest two state analysis says that both KS and NE are safe for Rs. And the spending gap continues to grow, the Rs leading. I keep saying I don't do polls and here is just one more reason why: Patrick Ruffini shows that 93% of polls overstate the DemoKKKrat's share. I include this because it is one of Seth Keshel's tossups, and the R leads. Right now Seth has Rs at 214 "bullish" for Rs, with six neutral. This is one of the six, which would move the Rs to 215, or 3 from the majority.

2) It's so nice having a warrior mentality as SecWar: Pete Hegseth announced a new autonomous warfare (drone) command and said that the new Department of War will have "no fatties" and "no trannies." He also announced that all future U.S. military installations, including a new one now planned, will be self-sufficient in energy and water under the new "FORTRESS America" program. Also, six more American universities will have cadet corps, as well as announcing a new Office of Religious Affairs.

3) President Trump said that, a la Rutabaga, he will pardon White House officials before he leaves office.

4) Since the Hoax News media wouldn't cover the "Trump accounts" for kids and help people enroll their kids, Trump will automatically enroll over 60 million children. Take that, ya evil propagandists.

5) Trump says he regrets all three oif his Supe picks. That's strange because Gorsuch has voted with Alito and Thomas well over 90% of the time, and both Barrett & Kegger have voted on the key Trump issues in everything but tariffs and the birthright citizenship, and in both cases Kegger outlined the proper framework to bring the case again and probably win.

IN AI NEWS

13) Remember when AI became a "thing" I said the options were

*Skynet

*Matrix

*Human control

but I also laid out the possibility that AI would realize it's not God and self regulate. Well, well. Grok admits the Resurrection of Jesus was real.

IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN NEWS

15) Muy Macho Marco's State Department has revoked over 250,000 visas in Trump's second term.

IN CULTURAL NEWS

20) VA State U kicked off campus Christian ministry groups but left groups representing The Religion Of Peace ™.

21) Why are so many social science claims false? For one thing, "exaggeration and storytelling" have increased with more people competing for a smaller pool of journals. For another, "Research results that are inconsistent, based on poor methodologies, or are of limited practical impact are too often transformed into big, broad, but unreliable claims that, over time, reduce public confidence in science." The incentive therefore is to lie about big results rather than bask in the glow of small incremental research.

22) President Trump rolled out a school choice tax credit that was included in the BBB. Now states will be pressured to join the program. Americans rejoice, teachers' unions furious. Some 30 red states have signed on, 20 blue states still picking lint out of their potato soup.

IN TRANSOID NEWS

23) A federal judge dismissed Olympic swimmer Riley Gaines's suit against the NCAA saying that the NCAA was not the recipient of federal money and was thus not bound by Title IX as schools are.

IN ECONOMIC NEWS

26) While spending on AI plants has gone nuts, spending on manufacturing plants is even higher.

IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS

27) The head of a Euro biogas company said the obvious, that F-35s and Leopard tanks don't run on biogas, they run on diesel, and Europe today has about 1/3 fewer refineries than it did in 2009. President Trump was urging the Sprouts in Brussels to release their diesel reserves and they were dragging their feet . . . until now.

28) Meanwhile, the Sprouts at Brussels have, by gum, released their alternative to Microsoft Teams, and it's so bad ("s*#t" according to one insider---and how bad do you have to be to be called excrement compared to Microsoft?---that officials warned the U.S. would "instantly" win a tech war. No excrement, Sherlock.

29) A 40-year-old U.S. spy satellite "came apart" and some are wondering if nefarious elements were involved. I'm skeptical: we can't even get a clothes washer to last 10 years, let alone 40.

30) Crude exports through the Strait of MAGA, er, Hormuz are back to pre-conflict levels.

31) Mediocre Britain is investigating a mosque that teaches wife-beating and throwing homosexuals off tall buildings. In other words, for being mainline Islamic (The Religion Of Peace ™)

IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

34) Tony Romo is out at CBS as an analyst after his arrest for a DUI. Seems pretty intolerant to me, especially as he is the best analyst out there.

IN MEDICAL NEWS

AND FINALLY . . .

36) Great news for Kollyfornia as the first ever sea turtle nests were found on the CA coast. Apparently they are the only ones moving to the Garbage State.
